Please allow 10 days from ordering to shipping. these Munster Joinery casement window handles are suitable for most of the older Munster Joinery PVC windows, this handle is also suitable for most uPVC casement window profiles that have 43mm screw centres. They are in locking and non locking, left and right opening and come in a choice of colours, so your bound to find a colour to match your window colours.
In Ireland, most uPVC window handles are interchangeable as long as the screw centres are 43mm, the differences in handles vary in design but most will fit. This handle can be used on most of the older Munster joinery window espag (also called espagnolette) handle, it has a locking function. However, it is advised not to lock bedroom windows (or any windows for that matter) as they will be needed as an escape in the case of fire.

We have an Avocet Affinity handle that is a spurious fit and a good close but not identical fit for these handles, it is a much cheaper alternative to the Munster joinery Winlock HP handle
The newer Munster Joinery handles are the Prestige window handle is HERE and the passive PVC and alu clad window handles and can be found HERE. There are several reasons why you will need to replace your window handle, for instance, if the hinges are damaged or corroded they will become sticky and the window can jam, causing strain on the window handle when pulling excessively to close the window. It is common that when you have to replace your uPVC window handle that you may have to replace the window hinges at the same time. Our fab and fix curved window handles are a good cheaper alternative to this handle.
There are several reasons why you will need to replace your window handle, for instance, if the hinges are damaged or corroded they will become sticky and the window can jam, causing strain on the window handle when pulling excessively to close the window. It is common that when you have to replace your uPVC window handle that you have to replace the window hinge at the same time.
We have identified a few other causes for replacing broken uPVC window handles, for example:
- When the mechanism is jammed, often the handle can be put under pressure and the homeowner can wring the handle.
- The handle can break due to good old fashioned wear and tear and lack of maintenance.
These are just a few of the reasons why you will need to replace your broken uPVC window handle. This replacement handle will fit most PVC casement windows, however, some modern alu clad aluminium windows and the passive PVC window handles are very different and these handles will not fit properly not look as good as the prestige and passive window handles, the Alu Clad handle can be found HERE and the Prestige casement window handle can be found HERE. When you are replacing your window handles it is advisable to have a look at your window hinges to ensure they’re not damaged or stiff and replace them at the same time. it is also advisable to have a look at your draft seals to ensure that no draughts are coming in your windows you might decide to replace your draught seals also and give the whole window a revamp.
