DéDannan understands that sometimes items may need to be returned. If you have any problems with what you have ordered, then please let us know straight away so that we can deal with your query and get the quickest result for you. As you are buying online you are covered by the Distance Selling legislation which states that you have 14 days to inform us that you are returning your purchase, you are given a further 14 days to return the item to us in the original state-supplied, un-used, and packaging unopened and un-cut. Items returned items in these circumstances will be at your own cost. You must use our returns form HERE to return your products otherwise they will not be accepted by our returns and kept in a returns bin for 14 days as per distance selling regulations and returned to you as undelivered. We have a 25% restocking fee on all returns. Returns that are used or damaged will not be accepted.
Please package items you wish to return appropriately.
Please don’t use a knife to battle your way into the packaging as if Santa has just arrived…!! Tearing or ripping the boxes open may damage the contents within and we cannot accept liability for items that are damaged on return to us. For example, if you have ordered door handles that turn out not to be suitable, please package them as they were sent to you, handles returned loose in a box will get scratched, if we received items back damaged this means we are unable to re-sell these handles, therefore unable to refund your purchase. Please also submit a photo of the item that needs to be returned showing the issue or fault, and also its condition.
Munster Joinery parts and any special order parts and bespoke items such as draft seals that are cut to measure items ordered by request (any items which state on our website or are sourced especially for the customer) fall outside the distance selling regulations and cannot be returned.
We do not exchange any item unless we have sent you the incorrect item in the post. If this is the case then we will send you the correct product at no extra cost. You must return the incorrect item within 10 days and the correct item will be sent straight out to you after we receive the wrong item back to us.
Goods that are deemed faulty through no fault of your own will be either, repair, replacement or a full refund once we have inspected the goods and accepted that the goods are indeed faulty.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid on the order unless the goods are faulty or we sent you the wrong ones.
Where Free Shipping was given on purchases and returning an item brings the amount below the free shipping threshold, the shipping fee of €8.50 will also be taken from the refund price. i.e if you purchased €155.00 in products and got free shipping and you return a €10.00 item, your transaction will then be valued at €145.00 and not qualify for free shipping, in this case the €10.00 will be refunded minus the €8.50 shipping fee.
Return postage costs (Items that we send in error or faulty only) include standard postal returns and recorded delivery charges that are appropriate for the size/weight of the product. Excessive returns charges for example special delivery, guaranteed or timed delivery charges are deemed to be unduly excessive unless agreed in writing between Door and Window Parts and the customer in advance.
The company reserves the right to not refund for the excessive charges as stated above or only refund the difference at its own discretion. The company does agree to pay in full standard postal charges and recorded delivery charges if items are agreed faulty through no fault of the customer within the terms and conditions.
Returns do not need to be sent back special delivery as this adds undue cost to your return. Depending on the package we are happy to receive packages returned as:
Tracked and or signed for via AnPost recorded or signed for delivery.
The additional charges for a special delivery or timed delivery will not be covered under our postage returns costs.
If you have ordered a long item such as a multipoint lock mechanism then you will need to use a parcel broker to send parts like this back to us, this is because the item will be too long for AnPost delivery. We recommend Fastway.
The above parcel brokers will allow you to easily arrange for a courier to collect the part from your home or workplace and return it back to us. Given the choice of courier, we would choose Fastway.
Special Order Items:
Special order items are not returnable under any circumstance except where deemed faulty.
